Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for full strategy branding and creating visual concepts that communicate solutions and ideas that inspire, inform and captivate target audiences. This person will create high impact design and layout of graphic elements by using a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects. This position is responsible for handling projects from conception to completion; ensuring that projects meet communication, marketing and promotional needs of the Division of Student Engagement & Enrollment Services.

Considerable knowledge of graphic design tools and programs include Adobe Creative Suite.
Some knowledge creating graphic design for the online environment. Demonstrated skill in handling a variety of assignments simultaneously displaying excellent customer services skills.
Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills. Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills. Ability to solicit and utilize materials and feedback from multiple constituents. Ability to analyze and interpret through graphic design complex information for diverse constituents. Ability to perform mathematical calculations for quotes and other reports. Ability to use web-based project management tools and collaboration technologies. Ability to communicate complex messages through the use of info graphics.

Level and type of experience
Considerable experience using Adobe Creative Suite. Considerable experience in graphic design creating content for a variety of platforms such as print, email, website, and web. Working experience working with diverse internal and external constituents. Some experience working with vendors and other stakeholders to establish quotes, production schedules, and delivery of marketing materials.
Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification
Some experience in a professional or academic communication or marketing environment. A college degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent experience and/or certifications.
Some knowledge and understanding of public relations, communications, marketing and branding/trademark standards when developing a variety of communications material. Some knowledge of the principles/practices of vendor coordination in support of graphic design and communications and marketing activities. Ability to create GIFs and animation. Ability to create illustrations.
Conditions of Employment
Given the nature of the positions in Student Engagement & Enrollment Services that provide support to student services and/or student-centered programs, the employee occupying this position may be required to work during a university closing. There may be occasions where the employee will be asked to work during university closings as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e. telework, etc.).
