About Work:
The Instructional Design Specialist will proficiently support, the development, delivery and competency management for technical & non-technical training content and programs for plant-based roles globally. This role is remote.
• Review and analysis of current materials:
• Develop a content matrix
• Identification of instructional gaps from current materials and regulatory requirements, coordinated with the Learning Specialist and creation of learning plan to address gaps
• Adjust training content to meet the training intention
• Review evaluations and competency ratings to assess the materials ability to deliver course objectives and adjust content, exercises, and support materials as necessary
• Manage the development all associated support materials not limited to Syllabus, exercises, pre-class work, post class evaluations, check sheets, etc..
• Present material changes to the Stewards team.
•Define a needs assessment to engage SME’s for new and review materials.
•Own the Document Management System and Knowledge Management System, maintaining all review and publishing aspects.
•Coordinate with the local community colleges to support non-plant educational opportunities, such as IT literacy, technical learning and personal development opportunities.
•Support the application process for Continuing Educational Units accreditation (CEU’s) from either Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training or International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training
•Seen as a leader and supporter for improved competency development, open to all options in which to enhance and improve outcomes.
•Success KPI’s Competency attainment by students, course evaluations, achieving course objectives post learning evaluations (Kirkpatrick), backlog of course development.
Qualifications
•Specific experience with SuccessFactors (SAP) is a positive.
•Willingness to work in a chemical plant with the appropriate PPE
•Practical and detailed knowledge of OSHA and safe plant operations. Expert on OSHA requirements in terms of training.
•Manufacturing, safety, regulated industry experience
•Facilitation and leading formal and informal educational sessions
•Proficient writing and verbal communication skills (English and other languages)
•Proficiency with MS Office including Visio
•One or more of the following fluent language skills a benefit, not a requirement: Spanish, Dutch, Malay, Madeiran, Tamil, Polish, French & German
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, Instructional Design or 4-7+ years related experience
Formal education: organizational development, instructional design, Six Sigma, Lean
